I bought the Apricorn SATA upgrade kit to upgrade my HP Pavilion laptop and subsequently found that the instructions on the package and the WEB site to be sparse and mostly useless.I found after several failed attempts of following the Apricorn SATA package and WEB instructions on how to successfully clone my HP Pavilion HDD to a SAMSUNG SDD drive.I found that I had to create a Win 10 boot thumb drive and download the Apricon software to the thumb drive.I then found I had to perform a hard format of the SAMSUNG SSD drive after connecting the SSD drive using the Apricorn SATA connector followed by disconnecting the Apricorn connector once the hard format was completed.I then shut the system down.I then performed a system boot using the Win 10 boot thumb drive.The SSD drive was then connected using the Apricon SATA connector. If I hear from support and can resolve the several issues I will change this review. I have many hours invested and the program doesnвЂ™t work yet. This time it began to boot but then failed something and said that I needed to reboot the computer. I also tried to create a new USB bootable from the newer version of the program. I had to send the log file to support and I am still waiting for a reply to that. Now after a few minutes I receive a fatal error.

I found an update online and downloaded it and then tried to clone again. I sent an email to the support and received an answer (question really) what version I was trying to run and what windows program I was using. After creating the USB, it would not boot. There is an option to create a bootable USB drive to run the program from that. On the second and third try, I waited several hours but nothing was working and the cable was producing errors. After two attempts to run the program It failed to copy anything to the SSD. The cable came with a CD that I ran on the laptop.
